Subreports

Hellow everyone!

I have a small subreport that does not always contain data. How can I make this subreport shrink so that there is not a blank space on the master report. I have tried the CAN SHRINK option on both sides but nothing changes.

Any ideas?

Additionally, is it possible to export a report to the message area of an email. I dont necessarily want it to be an attachment but as the message itself. I am using Outlook97.

Not sure if I remember this correctly but I believe I handled a similar situation by setting the height of the subreport to 0 or some other very small value like .0313

That is, from your main report click on rectangle containing the subreport and set the height property to 0 and the Can Grow property to Yes. If there is data in the subreport, it will automatically expand accordingly, otherwise it won't occupy any additional space.
