Suggest entries in a textbox

Hi there.
The dataase I'm working on is to hold information on the plants that my place of work sells.
It will eventually have several thousand entries in it's main table.

As users enter the main name of the plant in the data entry form, I'd like to be able to display existing current matches for the currently typed data. I envisage this working in much the same way as a drop down list displays in a web browser when you enter information in a previously submitted form.


Does anyone have any smart ideas of how to implement this - I feel sure this must have een asked before but searches of the forum and the wider web have not been very forthcoming!


I'd thought about something along the lines of a subform that requeried after every keypress, but I'd ideally like something more compact as real estate on the form is at a premium.

A combo box will do that if its Auto Expand property is Yes.

Not saying it couldn't be made more complicated, but that's the easy way.
