Switchboard buttons not working

I have an Access MDB that was created in Access 2003. We recently moved to Access 2007. Everything seems to be working fine with the database except for a small problem with the switchboard menu. The switchboard opens and performs normally until you click one of the buttons that opens any one of many input forms. I am using macros in the switchboard manager to call the forms. The forms open with no problam and you are able to input or review the data, no problems there. The problem comes in when the user clicks any buttons that should take them to another switchboard. You click and nothing happens. You can still open any form on that switchboard, but you can't navigate to another switchboard. The user has to close the database and re-open it to continue working. Even stranger; if you do not open any input forms, you can navigate around all day long, no problem. I have made sure that macros are enabled and verified the Trust Center settings are good but still can't get the menu to work correctly. I have deleted the items in switchboard manager and rebuilt them and that didn't seem to help. I have to admit, I'm stummped on this... Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

i intend to look at a similar issue

one of my clients said that in A2007 (I develop for them in A97 and A2003, but they convert it to A2007 in some cases), they cannot have multiple forms open concurrently - perhaps there is some sort of option setting for this.

As I say, I haven't investigated yet, but I will be doing so in the next day or so.

Actually, I think Access 2007 does open the forms concurrently but it minimizes the first open form when the second opens. If they are using full screen or very large forms, they might not be able to see the minimized form at the bottom. Try looking for the minimized form and opening it along side of the second...

thanks, that makes sense, and the behaviour you describe does sound like the effect they were seeing

i will look into it
