I have a table where I record items that have been sent to a client (transmittal). I am converting my data from Paradox to Access. In Paradox it is a simple matter to use a table look up to find a contact name, and populate the transmittal table with the current address. From perusing this forum I know the first reaction will be that my design is flawed but the reason I want to do this is that my clients occasionally move and I want a permanent record (snap shot in time) of everything associated with the shipment. I do not want the record to change if one of my clients relocates or some other detail of the shipment changes. In access what is the easiest way to populate 1 or more fields in the current table with values from the lookup total?
