I'm building a database of events for a club I'm in.
I've got a list of events and participants. Effectively each event can have multiple participants and each participant can be in multiple events (ie: a many to many relationship). I have a junction table for this and it all works correctly.
I have a table of all the club members and also a table of events.
However, participants in an event can have one of three responsibilities ie: they could just be a participant, could be an organiser, or could be an assistant and this changes by event.
I need to have this delineated by event so that I can pull out reports of how many events each person has organised and/or participicated in. I have thought of having a separate table for organisers and assistants, but this just duplicates my members table so I'm looking for another solution.
Any help in his would be much appreciated.
