For a project I made a table containing info of all Countries and Territories.
I decided to make it available here, may be you can use it for a lookup table.
It has the following fields:
Country Name, Official Name, ISO3166 Alpha2, ISO3166 Alpha3, ISO3166 Numeric, Currency,
Currency Code, Capital City, Calling Code, Internet Code, Area SqKm, Area SqMi.
Please note that area size may vary slightly, depending on the source you use.
I decided to go with Wikipedia.
If you find an error, please let me know so I can correct it.
