Dear Access experts,
I would like to ask for your help and call on your expertise.
I'm trying to create a simple database but am struggling with the tables, the essence of the dbse. The more I think about it the more I start doubting.
The dbse I'm making shows suppliers and their products. When I want to look for a specific product, then the database should list me the suppliers that offer this product.
So far no problem. However, sometimes a product has a brandname. Not every product is a brand though. I'm trying to figure out how to make my tables based on this.
To give an example:
Supplier A & B sell toys, supplier C sells Disney and Lego toys.
I have a table Supplier, Products and Brands. Also a table ProductBrands. But how do I distinct a product wih a brand and one without a brand? Id est for toys, do I enter in tbl ProductBrands: Toys -Lego, Toys -Disney and Toys- n/a (not appicable)? Doesn't feel right...
Can someone direct me in the right way.
Much appreciated.
