Text book Instructions do not work

Help! I am taking an Access class and the text book instructions don't always work for me. For example, the book gave instructions (for the version of Access I am using) on how to print just the selected record. I follow the instructions and choose "selected" from the printer dialogue box when it opens, and then all of the records print. This isn't so bad with a class sized database, but if I ever plan on using this with more than 10 records I'm in deep trouble. Any ideas or hints?

Make sure you're using the record selector on the form (over on the left side, with the same little triangle you see when you're in table view). You need to click that before you click File, Print. The "Selection" option in the print dialog isn't the same thing.
