Hi there,
I am creating a customer search form where you enter the customers details ie name, tel address postcode area notes, etc, and then i have a button which takes cerain parts of the customers details and places them on another form which is the orders form.

the problem is that for the address i will have to have say 4 text boxes, with street no and name, area, town, postcode.

so is there a way to get al the details from the above and just place it in 1 text box or a memo box so its look like this
1 somewhere place
some area
some town
bn2 5pl

I have seen this ona few db applications
any help would be appreciated on this

thanks

If you have table data which stores the address in several fields like this:- add1,addr2,addr3 you can display it in a single text box by having the data for that box loo0k like = addr1 & chr(13) & chr(10) & addr2 & chr(13) & chr(13) & addr3

Hi

Firstly thanks rabbie for the reply i will have to try this out later but what does the chr(13) and chr(10) stand for?

thanks

They are carriage return and linefeed characters to display each field on a separate line. Without them the fields will display on a single line.
