Text disappears after entering

As in the attachment, problem is with the 'Product' field in the sub form. After selecting from the combo box, the text disappears.

The record source for this is a mismatch query - only products pending to be billed against a particular order are displayed in the combo box. For example, if the order qty is 2 and I select 1, then the text is visible, but if I select 2, then the text disappears. This poses a problem while editing. Please let me know if anybody has experienced this and has a solution !

Open the form in design view.

Select the combo box

Check the properties - Column Width (should be something like 0";2" to show the description but not show the ID. And the Column Count property should not be 1, but 2.

Hello. I am attaching the properties window; bound column is column 3. Seems that there is some other problem. Once again restating - text disappears only when that product is no longer pending i.e all order quantity has been invoiced. Meaning that when the product disappears from the mismatch query (the query is for a particular order, products which are there in the order table but not there in the invoice table), it visually disappears from the form as well, though it remains in the table. Hope I'm clear.
