Text to Date (1 Viewer)

I have data in text field as "yyyymmdd" I simply need to convert this to "mm/dd/yyyy".

I have looked at Access Help, and through these forums. I can't seem to make anything work. I'm sure it is something simple that I'm missing.

Can someone please enlighten me.

It should be fairly simple. One way would be to use the DateSerial() function, along with the Mid() function to grab each of the required parts from the string. More info on both in Help.

Thanx Paul,

I had started with that but couldn't get it to work, went back and did it again and it's working. Apparently I messed up the function the first time I typed it out.
