textboxt doesn't want to bound

I created a new field in a table and I'm trying to bound a textbox in a form to it and the datasource propertie doesnt show me the new field for to bound it. It shows all fields except that one and I don't understand why this happens. Help!!

Ok you need to check the following:

1) Make sure the field is actually saved in the table

2) Go to the recordsource of your form and make sure your new field is included within it. Not within the table but actually within the query grid.

3) Come back out of the recordsource of your form and view the field list for your form - your field should appear there.

4) If it's a linked table, make sure you refreshed the link.

Is that version specific Pat? I've got A2k and never had to go through all that. At most, I've had to close & reopen the form or report. I just tested adding a field to a table while a form bound to it was open in design view. I saved/closed the table and then opened the field list for the form; the new field was there.

I've never had to this either
