Recently, one of the (professional) magazines I am subscribed to announced that they would no longer mail their printed magazine (unless you paid extra). The magazine would be available on-line. I'm now down to only one bimonthly printed magazine, which used to be monthly. I let one subscription lapse since the magazine kept getting skinnier and the content quality kept declining. Less recycling ;).

Periodically, we also go to the library. The magazine rack there has been looking increasingly empty, as the years have progressed. (I have often wondered how libraries have adjusted to content being easily available on the internet. As one example, students not having to go to the library to do research.)

I know a few rural places where the kids need to go to the library just to get internet.

The other day I saw a MAD Magazine in the store and now I'm trying to remember when was the last time I've seen a copy. Has to be decades.
