Please forgive me if this question seems too simple for some/most of you. I have two fields on a page that I want to show the current time on the computer, and the current date. How do I do this? I also want the current time display to display the seconds ticking off. Please give me very specific answers because I'm sitting here in a fog without any idea of how to do this. I haven't done any Access programming in about 2 years. It's going to take me a while to get back into it.

Also, has anyone out there done any Credit Card Processing through Access. I have a Wedge (magnetic strip reader) USB interface... I need to be able to read the credit card numbers off of the credit cards, and then somehow automatically send that information to the bank for processing... and then capture the returned information from the bank to show approvel or declined.

Thanks for all your help...

Theres loads of stuff already here on that topic so do a search and you'll find all sorts of options for doing what you need.

Your systems are no doubt different in the states but here I would talk to the people who handle your mechant account.

We process cards all the time and with the introduction of chip & pin they have supplied us with a new machine it has RS232 and USB interfaces that allow us to interface it with the computers and capture the information for accounting. But we did have to ask for the facility. The first machine they sent us had no way of interfacing with PC's.
This also means that we can use stored CC numbers from our data base for CNP transactions. Most of our transactions are CNP (about 80%) but we still need the machine 'cause a strip reader cant handle the new cards.

So, in effect, the machine still handles everything we can just feed it information and interogate it from the PC's.
