to eliminate special characters

hi,

me and my co-worker tried to import excel sheet.after importing into ms access...we saw special characters were in the table.we tried to eliminate it ..we couldnt ..actually i am a beginner in access...

could u give a clear picture how to eliminate the special characters....
i have to write a macro for that...
