I am working on a database I inherited which does timesheets for our work area. I have had to change a few of the tables as the guy who was doing it (who was far more knowledgeable on access than me), left half way through changing it.
Now when I try to run 2 of the many reports I get the "to many fields defined" error. I have searched the online help and tried their resolutions.
I've.......
1. Compacted the database - still a problem
2. Changed the tables (replaced with new)- still a problem

So 2 days later I'm still going round in circles :banghead:
Anything else I can try please?

Actually how many fields are there, then maybe you reach the limit?

There are a lot of fields but not at the limit!!!

Hmm - what is the limit do you think?

I believe its 255 ?? from reading some other online support....

All the resolutions I've seen refer to the table as being the problem.
Can it be the report thats the problem?????

Yes it is right 255 fields which is the limits both in a table and a query.
It could be a query if the reports recordsource use one.
