ok... This is how it is all....

1. I have a Table "Employee". this employee table is realted to 5 Subtables. each table has a Common Field EmployeeID. Employee Table has relationship with all the other 5 subtables.

When i try to import the tables to a new database i get an error message as such.

Employee Table has too many Indexes.. Cannot Import Table.

Can Any one tell me how to fix this

Don't confuse relationships with indexes.

If you have a common field EmployeeID, each table is likely to only have a single index for that field. If you have five sub-tables, each is only likely to have one (each) index for the EmployeeID field.

You need to look at the OTHER indexes on the tables. I think what is going on is that the export code is trying to sort the table(s) on each set of indexes and if you have too many, it cannot manage the sort. (That is the way that exports often work.)

In table design view, look for the icon that looks like a stack of rows next to a zig-zag lightning-bolt symbol. That should bring up your index list for each table.

The Doc Man... Thanks for the information.. i followed you advice and just todays right now i found out that i had almost 10 fields with index. I am amazed... i havent created any index on the fields at all then how come i am having index iwth these fields... Please Explain
