Totals in a report Footer

I am trying revise a report per group of records to give me the total qty in a report footer. See below, these are items listed on my report from a query. :confused:


Item# Qty HCPCS Total Price
5b999a 2 A4725 $2.00
5b999b 2 A4725 $6.00
5b999c 3 A4798 $3.00
5b999e 4 A4798 $4.00

In the footer of the report. I would like to see a count of all HCPCS by group..i.e.

HCPCS Total Qty Total Price
A4725 4 $8.00
A4798 7 $7.00

Any help would be appreciated! :o
 
You may want to do a sub report...

Hi Ken,

Have never worked with a sub-report. Tried doing just that, but am doing something wrong. I added the sub-report to the detail field and it is not acting right.

Anyway, thanks for your help and I will keep working at it.

I think in this case, I would not have the subform data linked to the main form, so you may want to check that...

(Not really sure of the details, so just a thought)

Make a header for HCPCS and footer for Total Price...Go to Sorting and Grouping..select HCPCS for Group Header..Say Yes to Group Header..Place HCPCS field in Group Header...Total Price...Say Yes to Group Footer...Make a blank field for sum total.
