Thank you to all you who are willing to help!
I'm new to Access. I have an old database (that I didn't create) with the following tables:
Parents
Children
Lesson's Watched
Purchases
Visits
I created a new database (empty currently) that has similar tables (and more new ones) but tracks much more than the previous. The problem I'm having is I don't know how to get the old data to the new database. There are over 2,000 Parents listed in the old database and when I simply copy and paste it gives them a new autonumber. The autonumber was the primary id that links parents to every other table. So when I copied and pasted from one to the other I have to go through and overwrite by hand the Parent ID number in each related table since I can't overwrite the autonumber. (Ex: now the kids don't belong to anyone!)
Can someone help?
Let me know if I should clarify anything.
I don't know anything about SQL or Visual Basic (yet!)
Thanks!
