I found a very nice example of how to implement a Treeview with VBA, without ActiveX/mscomctl.ocx:
http://www.jkp-ads.com/articles/treeview.asp

Unfortunately I'm not capable to use this example for my access database. Has anybody ever tried this and can someone provide a simple implementation example? Thanks!!! FRANK

never tried it - but looks like they provide an example for Access 2003/2010 - so why aren't you able to use it? what problems do you get?

Well the provided sample works fine in Access 2007. In the help form it says:
The subTreeView is a form but functions as a control, enabling you to simply drop it in as a subform in any form of your choosing. -> this doesn't work for me. I'd like to simplify the whole thing but the sample is full of controls (buttons etc.) etc. and I don't understand which part of the code is necessary for the implementation. FRANK

This looks very interesting - I wonder how easy it is to replace an existing tree-view that I have no amount of issues with corruption with.

regret I don't have time to investigate, but looks like Minty may be in a position to work with you

I will be looking at this but - I'm not sure when I'll have the time unfortunately, certainly would like to get away from the active x corruption issues we are experiencing here.
