Trump Administration Predictions (27 Viewers)

Most of the "YIMBY" stuff has occurred in the suburbs, with the Democrats embracing the need to build multi-unit housing and the Republicans being opposed.

The old Republican Party was pro-development and anti-crime. The Republican Party seems to have reversed on both issues.

I believe Mr. Trump's use of the National Guard, while perhaps somewhat questionable in the legal sense, is a clear indicator that he is still anti-crime. The use of tariffs to attempt to stimulate local development of industry seems to disagree with the other part of your comment.

Really?!?! The top politicians may be passing such legislation. As with most legislation sounds great a first blush. But are there any actual construction projects in high end neighborhoods? By that I mean, the actual construction of multifamily units inside exclusive (Democratic) neighborhoods as opposed to the usual practice of meeting affordable housing requirements by either building multifamily units in less desirable areas and/or paying into a fund of some-type that would eventually (in the far future) go towards affordable housing. To succinctly restate; have elite Democrats embraced having multifamily structures built immediately adjacent to their homes?

I suspect that elite Democrats will take the NIMBY approach to avoid the construction of multi-unit affordable housing in their neighborhoods. The legislation they pass to promote affordable and/or multi-unit housing will amazingly not apply to them.
