Trump Administration Predictions (22 Viewers)

The problem is the government makes everything more expensive.

State Cultivation Tax.
State Retail Excise Tax.
Local Taxes.

A simple $22 dollar transaction could cost you an extra $9-$10 dollars in taxes making your purchase north of $30 dollars. It does however keep the old farts out of the barrio where they might break a hip.;)
Good point - there would be cons to making it gov regulated as well as pro's, but hey - sin taxes, what can you do lol

Yep, the retires and hipsters will pay extra for the convenience. But I doubt the street people have an extra 10 bucks for taxes.

To me the legal gummies seemed pretty cheap. $13-$18 for a pack of , I forget if it was 10 or 20. I've looked into it as the subject interests me to some degree

In Mass. the prices have come down a lot. An 1/8 oz used to be $45. Now it's $20. Some stores are struggling to stay open.

People can legally grow 6 plants per person or 12 plants per household. Typical harvest is about 1 1/2 pounds per plant. Come January everyone is just giving it away because they have way more than they can use in a year. Cracks me up when I see someone in Walmart buying 10 dozen quart sized mason jars. You know they're not canning tomatoes.

And just who do you think did that? Was it perhaps those "prosecutors" who refuse to prosecute street crime? Even the 19th time a person is arrested for hurting some random stranger. Then he finally kills a "white girl". Now, is it time to prosecute him? Clearly the man is sick. But that doesn't mean you keep releasing him until the crime is so egregious even the Soros prosecutor is prevented from looking away.
Is there some specific case you are talking about where somebody committed 19 known assaults and wasn't prosecuted.

They weren't all assaults but the last one was murder of a "white girl". The man should never have been on the street. He had committed enough crimes to have him committed. Oh, right, I forgot. We can no longer lock up the people who are insane and a danger to the rest of us because we've closed all the mental hospitals so we let the go until they kill someone and then we have to put them in jail. I guess that is kinder than keeping them safe and the rest of us safe from them.

Can you identify the actual case, victim, criminal and prosecutor? The only specifics you provided was that you blamed George Soros.

This was the light rail murder. A Ukraine immigrant got onto the train and sat down in the seat in front of a black man. The man stood up and stabbed her several times in the neck muttering "I killed the white woman". No one came to her defense which is understandable because the crazy man was armed but the sad thing was that as he left the car, no one came to help her. That was disgusting. Wonder if the black women's friends gave her a high-five for ignoring the white woman? Talk about heartless. Or maybe it was racism at its finest.

If I'm not mistaken the subway killer Decarlos Brown Jr had been arrested and released at least 14 times. He's a extremely dangerous individual that should of been locked up years ago.

No we don't put them in jail. They are sent to psych hospitals, often affiliated with a prison.

It looks to me like she didn't even know what happened. The reporting I read stated no one noticed until they saw the blood on the ground.

Finally, a real Democrat that can stand up to the continuous bs from 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
Tar and Feather in 2026. Let's make this the biggest midterm turnaround in US History.

BREAKING: California's superstar Governor Gavin Newsom obliterates Donald Trump for blatantly lying about him, tells him to "take your dementia meds, grandpa" and then brutally fact-checks him.
And he wasn't done there...
"Shockingly, I have just learned, that Gavin Newscum, the Governor of California, is in final stages of approval to build Low Income Housing in Pacific Palisades," Trump wrote on Truth Social. "How unfair is that to the people that have suffered so much!"
"Newscum allowed their houses to burn by not accepting Hundreds of Millions of Gallons of Water from the Pacific Northwest, and now, the Low Income Housing starts rising long before he gets Permits for California Citizens to rebuild, but long after the Federal Permits were issued," Trump continued.
"Lee Zeldin, EPA Administrator, and I, as President, have done the job, and produced all Permits long before anybody expected that to happen," he wrote. "Unfortunately, the Governor of California and Mayor Karen Bass failed you. Gavin Newscum’s plan to build Low Income Housing (at the Super Luxury Pacific Palisades Fire Site) is what caused the destruction of the Late, Great New York City Mayor John Lindsay’s Political Career — and John Lindsay was a Republican."
It should come as no surprise that Trump was lying in his post. Newson's Press Office, which has been relentlessly trolling Trump in recent months, sprang into action.
"Take your dementia meds, grandpa. You are making things up again," the account wrote on X. The post was accompanied by an image annotating Trump's post.
"There is no state effort targeting new low-income housing in the Pacific Palisades,” read one note along with sourcing from the LA Times.
"The water in the Pacific Northwest DOES NOT reach or connect to water systems in California," read the second note, citing Forbes.
"The Governor does not issue housing permits, LA City and LA county do. They've issued 885+" read the third note, citing the California government's website.
"There is no such thing as a federal housing permit. They have not been 'approved' because they DO NOT EXIST," read another note along with a direction to ask X's AI bot Grok to investigate the issue.
This is exactly how you combat Trump's lies. Hit him with an insult designed to get under his thin skin, then follow it up with a list of cold hard facts. It's incredibly consistent with Trump's low character to exploit a tragedy like the Los Angeles wildfires for political gain, but this time he ran into the brick wall that is Gavin Newsom.
Unlike Trump, the governor is actually interested in solving problems rather than just scoring cheap PR points. In July, he announced $101 million in new funding to help rebuild multifamily rental affordable housing in LA.
What do you think of Governor Newsom?

I've discovered a lot of the "lie" issues is a matter of semantics. For example, Trump is probably referring to something that does exist when he says "Federal Permits", but probably not calling it the right thing. Thus the person who pretends he is 100% lying is roughly equally to blame as the person who used incorrect/imprecise wording and opened themselves up to being called a liar. That has been my experience when I look into these things, but I've no energy to do it now on this exact one.

On the other hand, I like Newsom as a human being - he seems like a pretty stand up guy. I do know in general that Democrats and people like Newsom have tried very hard to wage war on zoning laws that tend to create areas of isolated middle- to high-middle income housing developments - I think that's fairly well documented and open. Whether Newsom happens to be doing that in this exact instance, I'm not sure

What do you think of Governor Newsom?

His policies and management of natural forests in California were a strong contributor to the forest fires that have devastated the state. His liberal policies that led to a $20 minimum wage in his state have collapsed many restaurants and other small businesses. His policies on gun control violate the U.S. Constitution. Specific to gun control: Article VI says (in 2nd paragraph) that the Constitution is the law of the land and all judges shall be bound by it, anything in the Constitution or Laws of any state to the contrary notwithstanding; the 2nd Amendment says that the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

And those $20 minimum wage consequences are REAL - my brother is CEO of a restaurant franchise that covers stores in OR, WA, CA - and his business has tanked in part due to the minimum wages. He marvels at how stupid people are that they think you can artificially raise a wage and not have things be more expensive as well as less profitable.

I think you're overly optimistic if you don't think plenty of people with SMI's end up in prison/jail.
Conversely probably people without them end up in psych places too, to a smaller extent

I agree there are plenty of MH cases in jail but it's more a matter of criminal responsibility. You can be as crazy as a loon but still meet the criteria for CR, so your going to trial. Our laws, at least in theory, is that we don't punish mental illness. If your held but found not CR you can generally gain release when the doctors say so. Unfortunately MH episodes come and go so some get out who shouldn't.
