While I believe people other than Trump have the best chance at beating the Dem's in 2024, yet, after I ponder it, I do sometimes wonder if the liberals almost NEED someone like Trump to be president for another 4-8 years just to hammer the point home - that we don't want your wild, crazy, socialist, lazy, irresponsible tenets to become society's bedrock and we're soundly rejecting it. So soundly that we'd rather have a president who has some obvious character defects but will powerfully enforce it.

But no, after more thought, there is probably no chance they would get the point. All that would do is entrench them in their self-deception that "they must be all racist meanies".

We need someone like DeSantis, or better Vivek, who they cannot plausibly label racist.

I read an article the other day that was essentially trying to figure out a way to wordsmith the general idea that there is something 'weird' about Ron and Casey's marriage because they are so devoted to each other, and private in their marriage (in other words normal).

Liberals absolutely cannot STAND loving, traditional families that are devoted to each other and it shows in their long-term stability and happiness. (Remember how they savaged Chris Pratt for posting an adorable thing about his wife?? They have very strange reactions to real 'love', while clamoring on and on about 'love' but only in the context of sexual fetishes and sex in general).

Add, as the cherry on top, that Ron's wife is a bit...gorgeous...and it really ruffles their feathers. Or so it would seem to me after observing how they pile on in opposition to all nice looking female conservatives.

With all due respect, @Isaac, "plausibility" has never stopped the Libs before. I'm not sure they know this word.

They call Candace Owen a racist. The word means what they want it to mean when they say it.

@Uncle Gizmo: The guy makes a lot of sense. The problem is that approximately 40%voters are gullible and/or out-oft-ouch. They still be believe the Biden party line. Moreover there are the Never Trumpers who would appear to see this country go down the tubes rather than vote for Trump. McCain as an old example. A suicidal action on their part. So we may agree with this guys excellent logic in our little echo chamber, but will it be enough?

The rest of the world's got Joe's number. That's why Russia invaded Ukraine and China is harassing Taiwan and our Naval fleet. What's wrong with Democrats here? I would also ask, what exactly does the press get for their constant lies of omission as well as the outright lies they spew every day. We KNOW what the Biden crime family got for selling out the US but what does the press get for selling out its citizens. I really don't understand it.

She's the best!
doesn't she put the white man before the rest? I remember listening to one of her interviews on CNN where she said something about "where are all the men with balls?", or something like that. So maybe she IS a racist! who knows, with those folks...

She married a white guy if I remember correctly. But nowadays, it is only the old fashioned men who have balls. The new ones often don't have them, but some women do!

The "Women's" movement of the 60's and 70's did a huge disservice to women by not distinguishing between men's natural instinct to protect and provide with the desire to dominate. They also denigrated natural politeness like opening doors for others, not just women. I can give you quite a list of the many times I was discriminated against including well after the dust settled from the movement. Mostly the discrimination was financial. The financial discrimination doesn't happen any more but other types of discrimination still exist but are much more subtle.

The funniest situation was in ~ 1971. I was working at the Hartford Insurance group and my office was in the tower building. Each floor was open all around with services and conference rooms in the core. I was walking to a meeting with my boss and we were walking down the long side of the rectangle so we could see quite a few desks. There were no cubes during that era. The desks were stacked 5 deep with the people's backs to the windows. I noticed we were approaching a group of desks where there were only men and right after that group was one with only women. So, I made one of my typical wisecracks about men and women being segregated in that department. Without even thinking what he was saying, my boss said, "those are underwriters, and the next group are underwriters assistants". He staggered and gasped. I did too. The following week, the department had been "integrated".

The image is a little blurry so I'm not sure what I'm looking at. Is this perhaps a robo-call that your provider is warning you that it might be spam?

When you consider that probably only just over 40% of the population that can vote, do bother to vote. Hopefully it's not the same 40% that look at the pictures in the tabloids that SteveR mentioned.

When Biden was over in England this year, he was called upon to inspect the guard. You know, when 500 bored solders stand there pretending that they are proud to be there and respect the turnip walking up and down. As the Presi walked towards the camera he had the look on his face that said he'd gone. There was nothing going on in there. Or in his own vague and misty world. But maybe he was just wondering where he left the nuclear button? Frightening.

My post was deleted, labelled 'inappropriate', i was scolded again for the hundreth time in 20 years.
I asked why out of 300 million people, why can't anyone be better than Biden or trump be found to be a good president?
