Trying to find path for Access default Bitmap images

Hi folks,

I am wanting to track down the path for the files that Access uses for it's form navigation bitmap images (first, last, previous, next).

I want to get copies of these images so that I can use them in an Excel Form.

I was able to create some similar nice looking images in Powerpoint, but when they are loaded to the form they look pants... any suggestions?!

I expect they're not going to be stored as discrete images - I think they'll be embedded into the executable files somewhere.

You could create your own copies of them by cropping them out of a screenshot taken with a screen capture utility (like the one built into Windows, operated by hitting the Print Screen key)

Alternatively, I think there are utilities that will scan and extract embedded objects such as bitmaps and sound files from out of compiled executables, but I don't have any specifica recommendations for one of those.

Either approach may be questionable in terms of intellectual property, but for something as trivial as a button with an arrow on it, maybe not.

They are mainly icons and you can try looking in
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\Common\...

Thanks guys... I couldn't find them on my system, so I suspect that you are correct Mike. Nothing under Visual Studio on my system DCrake.

In the end I downloaded a copy of Gimp and created them from scratch. I saved them as .gif and they look exactly the same as the access buttons. Each file ended up being less than 120 bytes so I'm quite happy.

I've attached them here in case anyone else needs them (open image, right click on image and "save image as"). Then add picture on Excel form button and be sure to use picture position to put them in the centre.
