I have been asked to rebuild an access database for my employer. The database was created some years ago by whom, I don't know. One of the things they have done is to hyperlink to text documents with descriptive information rather than adding the information into a memo field.
What I want to know is: is there a way to get Access to read the .txt files and add that information directly into a report. At the moment I create a report and I get the path to the .txt file but not whay is in the text file. It would be helpful if I can do this as there is several thousand of these .txt files.
Any thoughts? or will I have to cut & paste everything into memo fields?
