I have recently upgraded my computer in two ways. I am now running MS XP 64 bit OS, and I have also upgraded to MS Office 2007.

After the Oracle ODBC driver were installed for a 64 bit OS I am unable to make an ODBC link to the Oracle source data. The connection test in the ODBC manager sucessfully connects to my Oracle Instance.

:confused:But when go into Access and try to link to my data source I get an error message that says the following:

ODBC--call failed.
[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified (#0)

Of course you can see the data source name, it just doesn't like it for some reason. Any suggestions?

:confused:If I go to help from the error:

ODBC – call failed. (Error 3146)
Using an ODBC connection, you tried to perform an operation on data in an ODBC data source. This error may occur when the ODBC data source is on a network drive and you are not connected to the network. Make sure the network is available, and then try the operation again.

Oh I didn't mention that since most of my Organization is still on MS Office 2002 that all my office apps default to 2002-2003 formats.

Thank you.

Please check the ODBC name you are using in Access application. Whether it has any extra spaces or letters than your original ODBC driver.

Since the ODBC name is visable from the pick list I am just picking it from the list. I did verify that it was exactly the same as well.

Thanks.
