unconverted a97 on a2k - pop-up form weirdness

having an odd problem...

running an uncoverted A97 db under A2K.

everything fine except:

i have a modal pop-up that allows a date range selection.

after selection, i output a couple reports to .rtf files using outputto...False selected so the app doesn't open.

after the output is complete i do a DoCmd.Close. well, guess what form closes...not the popup but the form under it

any ideas? a new 'feature' perhaps?

Have you tried using the form name DoCmd.Close acForm, "MyForm"?

seems like a good idea. will have a go at it in the morning.

also, i seem to recall a posting abt. print preview MDI problems caused by the much-loved AutoCorrect feature. while i'm not doing a preview, i am outputting a report to .rtf.

think i'll check on that as well.

lordy, if DoCmd.Close won't work correctly in a2k, what next!
