Universal search engine for record data...

As a part of the new database I'm building (along with my nightmare mdb), my client wants a single search engine that will lookup record data from a variety of linked databases; (4) four so far...

All databases reside on the same server so linking shouldn't be a problem but I need assistance in developing the code that will go out and search all linked databases for search criteria; customer name, VIN#, contract#, etc...customer name, VIN#, contract#, etc...

My only solution so far for my nightmare mdb project is to simply start over and proof all records, export and repair each key object into a new mdb, and never allow the original developer within a 10mile square radius of this app!?#?$! Still, any further suggestions are appreciated.

Perhaps the search utilities (RFil or FFil) at http://www.mile50.com/ will do what you want.
