Dear Moderator/Admin.web

My suggesstion are to the real ongoing problem and it may
Exist also :
users post their questions
8 out of 10 users get their answers and solved
2 out of 10 users get some help/advice, but still not solved
.... the 2-out-of 10 thread starters generally behave to be
inactive for some period and try to search in other website or
google or anyother forums.

Now for such Inactivity of Unsolved Threads

The Web Admin system must automatically check each thread if inactive for more than 20/30 days/period which u require , + && no posts !

Do mark it as Solved and Seal it ! i.e not postings wud be there
so new threads can be started

This is just an example. actual position may be reviewed in Server

But my suggestion is to provide a Kind warning type of message thru email
on 7th day of inactivity to mark the thread as solved or Delete it !:o

I disagree. We've had many people come in with further questions on someone else's original question. This is something that has actually driven me crazy on other forums. While I like having a SOLVED feature to mark a question solved, I don't think it should be locked from further replies.

I agree 100%. Although if someone has a question and not giving advice, they should start a new thread.

I agree with this. Nothing more annoying to get an email relating to an old thread where the new poster is asking something 'same but different'. Chances are nobody else will pick it up since it is not a new thread and I don't necessarily have the time to respond and I don't like to let people down.
