Update Date

Could someone please assist the vba noob? I work generally in queries most of the day and would like the date column to automatically update when the Status column is changed but I have not been able to get a form to work correctly.

Here's what I've got, I have a drop down menu in the Status column which, when changed I would like the Date column to update to today's date. I have not been able to get a form to work or put in VBA code that will work to update this field when working in the query.

Can someone help please?!:banghead:
