Update Query

I have a Query that I type a start date and an end Date and all records come up within that date range, I now want to mass fill 1 field within all of these records with a date, I know you can not copy the date and paste into all the field like you can in excel, I have been advised to do an Update query but I do not know how to go about this.

Please can someone help me??

In the designer, change the query type of your original Select query to Update. (Right click on the background area of the query and expand the query type submenu.)

Add the field you want to update. Enter the desired value in the "Update To" grid box for that field.
