Updating 1 combo by choosing a value from another

I’ve got a control on frmStemline called txtHierarchy. The 11-digit value the user wants to use for this field must be chosen from a list of around 450 values stored in a table called tblHierarchy.

Now here’s the best part!!

This 11-digit value is a combination of 4 values in the form xx xx xxx xxxx

Let’s look at some of these 450 possible values.

01900902007
10200203001
10200903004
10400603002

I need to have a combo box for each of the 4 parts of the final value so that:

Choosing 10 in Combo1 changes Combo 2 to display 1020 and 1040.
Choosing 1020 in Combo 2 changes Combo 3 to display 1020020 and 1020090.
And finally choosing 1020020 in Combo 3 displays 10200203001 in Combo 4 and I choose this as txtHierarchy.

I’ve tried all kinds of concatenations and queries but I’m only getting more and more lost. Can anyone please point me in the right direction?

It's taken 2 hours of trial and error but I finally got this to work for 4 combo boxes. Even added in an Unload event to populate an underlying form so I'm well pleased.

Really big thanks...another mystery solved thanks to this forum.
