I know that any of the following can be goggled, look up on Snopes and other sites. I am more interested in the opinion of people on the forum.

First: Can Snopes be trusted?

A certain British cabinet member who often commuted on the London Underground subway often read work information. One day forgot a top-secret Al-Quaeda doucument on the subway car. A passenger turned it into the BBC. The BBC reported the find online nd added it would be tragic if the information had fallen into the wrong hands.
Urban Legion, Half-truths Or outright Lies, You decide?

Urban Legion, Half-truths Or outright Lies

Eric Matyjasik of Arizona unzipped his pants 162 times in 30 second, breaking the old record of 27 zips.

Re: Urban Legion, Half-truths Or outright Lies

Two girls age 10 and 12 got stuck in a storm drain in Australia. Even though they called for help nobody came to help. One then got an idea she took her cell phone and update her Facebook status, we are stuck in a Drain send help.
Urban Legion, Half-truths Or outright Lies. You decide?

If this is true, my big question is why didn’t they use the cell phone to call the police

Re: Urban Legion, Half-truths Or outright Lies

In 2008 South Africa passed a law making it illegal for kids under the age of 16 to kiss.

I believe Snopes can be trusted. They cite their sources of information. They seem to be pretty accurate more often than not.

Erm so are these ones that have marked as true on snopes, if memory serves right 1 and 4 are true, 2 wouldn't surprise me as there are some really stupid world records, 3 sounds unlikely but you never know - if I had a kid though they wont be on Facebook until they are at least 16 (if at all ;)), also wouldn't they have mom and dad on speed dial or a contact as minimum?

and if they cant find a reliable source they normally mark it as unconfirmed or unverified or whatever it is.

Thanks Jax old buddy, I did not know.

Dick - that's urban LEGEND (not Legion).

Thanks Bob, I think we have well established that I am not an English major.
In fact in college my grades suffered because of that. Last year I was working a doctorate on line and got a reprimand, and replied back that I was never good in spelling. He said back, is your spell check broke also. <G>

Here is what I have put on the bottom of my support letter since my wife is in rehab;
Please forgive all grammar, spelling, punctuation, and other mistake, as of course I am without my faithful secretary.

Just an FYI - I won't mention any spelling, punctuation, or grammar errors but I will let you know when you've used a word that is not close to what you are meaning.

Oh no, please do. I encourage it. Plus my wife gets a good laugh out of it.

Then if she reads your posts I would worry about her as she is in danger of dying of laughter. :D

I'm puzzled by this post as I thought that it was obvious what I was referring to, and the :D indicates that I was joking with you, if I wish to comment on another thread it will be in that thread.

:o My apologies, I was joking also, and did have another post in mind, but didn’t indicate that. I should have used a :D also. Sometimes my humor takes on a life of its own.
