Urgent Help Needed

I have a access DB, which has a backend that sits on a server, and each client has their own front end. Till now the backend was hosted on Win 2003 server in a workgroup mode.

Recently we bought a quad core Xeon machine and installed SBS 2008 standard on it. we put the backend on this machine and front end on client computers.

In the database there is a field called documents link, this has a kink to each clients folder on the file server. when users click on this link, it takes them to a particular clients folder (image attached).

Now four of the computers are taking a very long time to open these hyperlink folders. Only four, rest are all fine.

Any advice??

I had a problem that was similar. Probably worth a try.

It was cured by reinstalling parts of the networking setup on the clients.
Client for Microsoft Networks, File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks and QoS. Reboot after removing them before reinstalling.
