hi to all,

I have a software which links itself to a fox pro database/tables. Now i want to link some of these free tables or database from fox pro to access. Whenever there is a slight change in the fox pro tables/databases they must reflect directly into access database. Is this possible and how?

thanks,
ashley

Link tables

Open up a new database in Access. Click on Table>New> and choose link. In files type chosse Fox Pro and then link that to the location where the fox pro tables are stored. Since you are linking the tables the changes in Fox Pro should be simultaneous in Access tables.

Hope this helps.

No foxpro file type found there

hi I have tried wat u suggested but in the drop down list no foxpro type is found there. I have selected dbaseIII/dbase5/dbaseIV, the tables appear in the list but when clicking on ok to generate the link the following error occur : External table is not in the expected format. What can be done in that case??

There is an option in the list to choose an ODBC connection but the problem is that the tables are not found in a database. They are free tables in fox pro(stand alone). Means that I have to create several ODBC connections( in my case i need 5 tables ... 5 ODBC connections).
What can be done in that case??
