Hi Rain, Thanks for sending it. The table, tblLookuptoAgyPgm, is the one I created ealier on. It was the one that the alternate version of the form was bound to. I deleted it, along with the alternate version lof the form, before I sent you the last version of the DB (I just checked again, and it isn't there). Whatever is interfering with the ProgramName field showing up in the combo box, that can't be it.

Thanks,

Henry

I guess I'm more confused than before. I'm looking for combo boxes within the tables and I'm not seeing them. You're not telling me to change the combo boxes on the form to text boxes, so where do I look for the combo boxes that are causing the trouble?

The pic is in response to the above, Have you deleted all of these?

Yes, I deleted tblLookuptoAgyPgm and also frmEditAgysAlt. I wanted to clean up the DB, so I only kept the two tables you named, tblAgencies and tblPrograms, the form, frmEditAgys and the query, qryAgyPgrm. All of the other tables, queries, etc. that remain relate to other parts of the DB.

Now get rid of the Caption in the Tables.

It changes the name of Fields causing you to become confused.

I checked. The caption lines for both tables are blank.

If that is the case then you should be able to create the Combos that you want.

Suggest you deleted the unwanted data in the tables.

With your second Combo add a bit of code.

Try the On Click Event.

Simply put

Private Sub etc

Me.Requery

End Sub

Hi Rain, Thank you very much for all the time you spent on this problem and for your patience. I have learned a great deal through the process.

I did a little looking and I found that the Number of Columns property was set to 1. When I set it to 2, I was able to see the program names.

Now I need to solve my original problem: since agencies are added or dropped from time to time, I need to allow the user to edit the lists of agencies and programs. I have some new I ideas, and I think it would be best if I start a new thread.

Again, thanks for everything.

Best,

Henry

Just create a separate Form.

Suggest that you do not Delete or Edit as this will affect history.

And Yes a new thread is now a good idea.
