I have a DB which I would like to be viewed by all but only edited by one person. I have a form which hosts a reports menu; this is all the other users need to see. At the moment I have a very insecure password form, which basically uses a code to say "if password = password value then open form". VERY INSECURE. I can lock down all of the nav. bars etc on load of the DB but if anyone holds shift whilst it is loading then they can just look at the VBA and get in!
I am using access 2007 and have heard that permissions were possible within the older access 2003? I just need a form etc at the beginning with either the reports menu or a password enter section to access the switchboard. Anyone got any ideas?
