Using a Checkbox to Return "Y" & "N" instead of 0 -1

Hi,

I have text field which I wish to use a checkbox as the control on an Microsoft Access form.

I would like the checkbox to return "Y" into the field when checked instead of -1 and "N" instead of 0. Is there any way this can be achieved?

Using "Y" and "N" and a text field is not my way of doing this, I am simply adhering to a specification that I have been given by a client!

You don't need to change the value that's being saved. It's more effecient searching against a Number field than a Text field so leave it as it is.

You can change the way the numbers are displayed using the Format property of a control. Have a look at this:
