Using transparency in on-form graphics

Hi all,

I've tried using gif, png, jpeg and cannot get Access to display the image correctly. I have set the background of said graphic as transparent, and it is transparent when displayed within Paint Shop Pro 7.

Can I use transparency correctly when displaying images etc in Access? It'll be a bit of a pain to have to set the background colour of images to match the background colour of the Access forms!

i don't think access has any clue abt. transparency (at leaest a97).

You might try saving the graphic in Word or Excel first and then copying it from there. For some strange reason the background transparency then becomes "available"

What a completely stupid thing for Access (I use Access XP) not to support transparency within images! I mean, to create a program/database for a company who wants to include their corporate logos etc etc is an absolute pain in the proverbial! Luckily I haven't created the images as yet so I can create them with the correct background colour, but I guess many people must have hit this problem!?

no big deal...but, i can't seem to replicate this.

someday when you have time, 'flesh out' this procedure a bit.

It worked for me, after some attempts.

This is what I did:
- Insert a GIF-image (with transparent background) into Word.
- Right-click the image in Word and copy it.
- Paste it in Access in a form (design state).
- Right-click the image in Access and set backgroundcolor to transparent.

I use Windows/Office XP.
