First, let me say that my Access life has improved greatly since I found this place. I have found answers to all my questions here and saved myself endless hours of trial and error. Thanks to everyone here...

I have created a crosstab query & used report wizard to create report of data I collected using crosstab query wizard. I prompt user to enter the year and then list the 12 months data for that year summed and subtotaled in various ways. I want to put the year (entered by the user) in the report heading. Any suggestions?

Also, how do I get the headings to print on every page of the report?

Hi TTownYankee

Glad to hear you have got so much from this site ... it is one of the best Access resources on the internet IMHO.

To get the user's input onto your report use exactly the same reference as you do when you prompt the user for your crosstab query. So, for example, if in your query you have in the criteria row

[Please enter year]

you need to create a text box on you report that has as the Control Source the same:

Control Source = [Please enter year]

Call this text box something like txtYear.

If you want it to appear on every page place this control/field (txtYear) in the Page Header rather than the Report Header.

Look at the page header property for the report.

As far as the year in the header, reference the form and object containing the year.
