variation on disappearing form

Hi all,

I have a slight wrinkle on the "disappearing form" problems I've seen in the forum.

I've written a form for the user to enter partial entries of data to match a single record in the database (which is effectively only a single table anyway).

The finding the record part works fine. In the "found" record there is an attribute which can have one of two values. According to which value it has I'd like to open one of two further forms and display the record information in different formats. However the form opens quite literally for as long a time as to flash up and then disappears.

Setting the acDialog value (to make it modal or removing it etc) appears to have no effect...

Very confused. Would appreciate any assistance.

Do you have some other code elsewhere that's closing it?

No. Closing forms is only done in the event handler on the button. These are not called anywhere else.
