Hi,

I would REALLY like to learn how to use and program VB. Can anyone recommend a really good book. The sort that offers tutorial type thing, but also has a reference of commands?

Thanks,

VB & VBA in a Nutshell is the only language reference I have seen. I think you might be able to purchase one from Microsoft but I have only seen it bundled with other books for around $200. You can't learn to program from a language reference. It simply lists the available commands and their syntax. If you're lucky it might also give a trivial example.

Search for posts by me for today for other recommendations. Use the keyword "cookbook" as your search argument.

Harvey M. Deitel is the author of several good VB, VB.net, C# books.

Search www.barnesandnoble.com with his name and you'll get a list.
