I would like to have an MS Access form displayed in the body of an Outlook email message. Is there a way to do this?

imdl :)

Why would you want to do this? Why not create a report and send the report as an attachment.

David

We have an Excel database with two sheets, the first is the log sheet and the second is a trace form linked to the log sheet. We send the trace form via email through the command “Send to Mail Recipient” > “Send the current sheet as the message body.”
I have started creating the trace form in MS Access and I would like to send it as part of the email body (not as an attachment). Is this possible?

thanks, that's useful information.

however, still, i've been trying my luck to find how to send a form as the "email body" (not as attachment).

any further help would be appreciated.

I don't think you are going to be able to do what you want. Even when you insert a spreadsheet into an outlook message body, the sheet is converted to text or html. If you want to include an access form in the message body, you are going to have to export it or print it to a file and then somehow embed that into the message body, and even then, if the form displays properly, you will not be able to collect data from it and send it back to your database. Best solution would be to create a form in Outlook, from which you can collect data, although I'm not familiar enough with the process to know how you would then manipulate the data.

you need to answer david's question. WHY are you doing this? what for? what do you want to get out of it? what is the trace file for? what do you want to get back, and what do you want to do with it? sending a form in the body of a message is a waste of time if you ask me.
