VB in the modules

I’m new to Access and have been looking through a lot of the sample db,s very helpful, am I right in my conclusion that there is a lot of work being carried out in VB in the modules.
I’m reading all sorts of books at the moment and they are not going any ware near this area.
Is this the new 2003 program getting to grips

Yes, a lot of the work is done in modules (both the form modules and standard modules). Most new users start off using macros, but the real power is in VBA programming.

So should I go directly to VB and start learning, my needs are simple I wont to build a db for my business ( small builder in London) customer records accounts estimating and invoicing , it surprises me that there isn’t something out there that is already designed

If you can learn by example, you might get the "Access Cookbook". I think it is version 2 for Access 97 - 2003. I believe that the authors are Ken Getz and Andy Baron.

If he just wants contacts, Invoicing, Estimates, payments, Bills then it should work fine for him.

It is very near completion now just putting final touches and cleanning up then think she may be upto a beta.

should he want something more suited to his contactors company then I'll be building a management system for that soon as I've completed the T&B Program.
