No, you click the three dots in the header of the edit bos (where all the icons are) If you hover over it, ir will hsow Insert. It is between smiley face and alignment icons,
Then you will see several options. I generally use the </> Code option.
When you have pasted in the code and come back to the post you will see how it is constructed. From then on, you can type the code symbols yourself if you wish, as it is a little quicker. I cannot type the tags as the site then sees them as being tags and always hides them.
Also make sure you have indented your code, so it is easier to see the structure and logic.
BTW, this is pretty much standard for every forum that has code snippets.
