I have a Tool Tracking DB that keeps a history of tool movement and current location.
I need to verify that a tool is truly available when I enter the tool number into a new contract.
::NARRATIVE STYLE:::
Tool 42X was rented by John on Mar. 1.
John returned tool 42X to the office Mar. 5 but that was never recorded.
Tool 42X is rented by Matt on Mar. 10.
--So when the new record is being entered in the Tool Rental form, how can I have Access check the Tool Number to make sure that it is at the office?
If the tool is avaliable I want it to continue record adding.
If the tool is not avaliable, I want it to give an error (ideally the error would list the tool's current location)
Easy to solve?
Christopher
