Vertical scroll bar won't scroll worksheet

Using Office 2007 Pro on WinXP

Our IT people recently moved from one server to another. Part of that move included upgrade of Office 2003 Pro to Office 2007 Pro. Since then I have a workbook created in Excel 2003 that has a couple dozen worksheets. Of which one sheet's vertical scroll bar refuses to scroll the sheet down (horizontal scroll works as expected). The vertical scroll bar in fact does move up and down but will not scroll the sheet. If I recreate the sheet it then works fine. But if I close the document then reopen, the scroll bar is back to its old tricks. It is only on that one worksheet. All the other worksheet's scroll bars work as expected.

Any ideas?

Sounds like you have a frozen pane or a split somewhere on the sheet.

Since this is only affecting one worksheet in one workbook, this is how I would deal with it.

1. Create a new workbook (in Excel 2007).
2. Copy the data from the misbehaving worksheet.
3. Paste it into the new workbook.
4. Move all the other sheets to the new workbook.
5. Delete the old 2003 workbook with the bad sheet in it.
6. Save the new file with the old name (if you want to keep it).

I know this doesn't solve the mystery, but it's a way to get past it.
