hi i am astin,
new kids on the block & very minimum knowledge about RDB. Currently in a mission to develop a data input form for my company to replace their old data entry system about 10 years old of age which running on i believe in dbase. Well, i have try creating reports but forms is a big deal for me. I can't get it started cos i don't know how. Perhaps anyone can share with me the best way to do this.

thanks

Reports and Forms are very similar.

Also, if you have data organised, in say a query, then there is a Wizard that will create a form for you. Often needs cosmetic but it does do a reasonable job.

Also, check out Northwind and your Templates.

Welcome to the forum!:)

thanks
i got so mix up with the tables, i am not sure with the primary keys etc.

Most Primary Keys are just an AutoNumber.

You can have this in your Queries but not showing in Forms and Reports. Use another number or text field, like Name (may need to be unique).

In our MYOB GL Software we raise a Sales Invoice and a number is allocated but this is not the real primary key number as we can change it if we wish. There must be another number not visible to the user and the Invoice number is just a unique field.
