I support a customer remotely. I have connected to their network, mapped the drives OK. I am adding some vba to a command button. I type it all, save it, go back, check it is as I left it. I disconnect from network. when local users then use the system my changes have not taken affect. Any ideas plse. I do not get any error messages from Access or Network.

Running Client Win 2000 Pro & Access 97
Host Windows NT.

Thanks

If the users already had the db open when you made the changes that would explain the problem. Access loads objects into memory and so does not go back to the db to get fresh copies. If this is your situation, you need to change your procedures. It is dangerous to have you in the db changing objects while others have the db open using those objects. Network blips will cause crashes and corruption.

Newer versions of Access will not allow a db that is opened by more than one user to be modified. It needs to be opened in exclusive mode unless some versioning software is being used.
