Solved View a PDF in a form

Yes, I had already seen it, but where do I download Active X PDF Reader control?

You don't need an ActiveX PDF Reader control.
Just use the built in ActiveX web browser control as described in the thread you linked in post #1.
There is at least one example app in that thread which you can look at / use

If the PDF opens outside Access, just apply the registry fix supplied

Thank you very much for the explanation, but I have no idea how you did it. I only see a couple of images but nothing else. I would need an example of how it is done, because if not, there is no way.

Also, I have used your example and it does not load the PDFs

In the two databases that there are, if I try to open a PDF directly, Adobe opens it, it does not load it in the field that is in the form.

As already stated, apply the registry fix supplied with the example. Once that is done, PDFs will open within Access

I get an error when I try to add the key that comes with the example to the registry

Sorry but I'm not a mind reader and I can't see your screen.
What error? A screenshot would be useful
How did you try to add the registry key(s) - manually or by running the .reg file?

Oh yeah, sorry.

Look, I run the file directly, and it tells me that it can't be imported because not all the data was written to the registry correctly. The system or other processes have some open keys or lack sufficient privileges to perform this operation.

I had Access open, but I closed it, I tried again, but it kept giving me the same error. I have also tried to restart the laptop and just after it started running it, and neither. I am looking to run it as Administrator and I don't have that option.

Since I have opened the file to see the keys, testing, I have realized that the error is here:

[-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT \ AcroPDF.FDF.1]
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT \ AcroPDF.PDF.1]
"EditFlags" = hex: 00.00.01.00

And this is a screenshot of my log

The registry file I supplied only adds entries to HKEY_CURRENT_ USER & HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
You need to run as an administrator to add entries to the HKLM hive

It doesn't add any entries to the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT hive.
So if you used my .reg file, that isn't the cause of those entries.

However you appear to have two pairs of each AcroPDF entry. I only have one of each

You could try deleting one of each pair ...but doing so is at your own risk

If you want a simple example
i think the OP wanted to View the PDF "inside" the webbrowser control, inside the Form.
not on separate "window".

If I use the reg inside, it gives me an error.

I don't know what I need to erase for it to work.

maybe you need to change the Separator (the .reg file insize the zip uses ,)
to the Regional separator you have.

I have tried to change the comma to a period and the reg file already works. I entered it correctly in the registry.

Now the database is still not working. When I add a PDF, it opens it for me in another window, not in the form.

If I do it with a Word or an Excel, if I load it in the same form.

I do not know if it will have something to do, but I have Adobe XI, not the Reader. In another post on this same topic, he fixed it by activating thumbnails, but Adobe XI (the one I have) doesn't have that option. What's more, you have to install a program to show you the thumbnails in Windows Explorer. I have installed it, but it does not work.

You don't need a browser to preview files on Windows anyway. The Preview pane in the File menu panes tab is enough.
